About me

A quick introduction.

With Michelle Obama

My career in communications started with a life-changing internship with Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign. Working from a cramped office in Iowa, I watched him rise from a relatively unknown politician to a global sensation.

After several years working in-house for a university, I began freelancing in 2012. Since then I have managed the communications for a diverse range of projects – helping to persuade, explain, instruct and inform.

An organiser at heart

I’m an organiser at heart. The most important revelation of my career has been realising what an asset this is to my clients. I now increasingly emphasise my role as a project manager as much as a communications manager.

COVID-19 testing

My biggest assignment to date came at the beginning of the pandemic when I was asked to manage the communications for a significant COVID-19 testing pilot. Despite the challenge of working from home with a newborn in lockdown, it was exciting to be part of something so important, collaborating with a talented and dynamic team.

I work from my office in Chichester, though I can regularly be found in the Festival Theatre foyer cafe when I need to escape for fresh air and coffee.

Away from my desk

Across Europe

Having travelled extensively in the decade prior to the pandemic, I am now enjoying introducing my young family to Europe, exploring by train as much as possible. I have an amateur interest in design and architecture. And I’ll go anywhere for a Springsteen concert.

You can read more about my communications experience on this site. I’m always keen to hear about interesting new projects, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss something you’re working on.
